I am working on a sausage character right now for The Great Wallingford Wurst Festival.  

The incredible Pulitzer Prize-winning David Horsey drew this character for many years.

I made this poster to announce the "epic" Nerf battle that took place yesterday.

300 nerf darts. A dozen 13 year old boys. Good times.

Hush

The weather in Seattle has suddenly turned from soggy mashed potatoes to (fill in hot, crispy, sun-drenched, food here). It's time to bring out your hammock or flop down on the lawn with a great beach read. My pal, Stacey Campbell (who spoke recently at the SCBWI Western Washington Conference) has written such a book.  This fantasy is full of great characters, a plot that keeps things moving, and like Calgon, takes you away. Perhaps it's called "Hush" because that's what I kept wanting to say to my kids when they were trying to talk to me while I was reading it!
